Wengers Amazing Records! Becomes The Premier League’s Current Longest Serving Manager

When Arsene Wenger was appointed as Arsenal manager on 1 October 1996 from Japanese club Nagoya Grampus Eight he was an unknown entity to many, but that is not the case anymore after a hugely successful tenure in Arsenal FC as the club’s longest serving manager. The Frenchman learned the trade in the early stages of his managerial career in France with spells at Strasbourg, Cannes and Nancy before earning a move to Ligue 1 side AS Monaco. He won the French League Championship in 1988 before moving to Japan seven years later for an 18 month stint. Wenger quickly settled down to new life in London and guided Arsenal to their first Premier League title in the 1997/98 season. He repeated the feat once again in the 2001/02 season before making history in 2003/04, as his side went unbeaten throughout the entire league campaign on the way to sealing a third Premier League crown.
