Jose Jose mourinho and Juan Mata may not have been good friends in the past seasons while the duo were both at Stanford bridge as Manager and player respectively, but the two happens to be getting along nicely in Manchester United albeit at the start of the new season... We'll see how it goes. Mata was left on the bench for the first 45 minutes of Mourinho's first Manchester United game, too. However, when the 28-year-old came on at half-time he set about attempting to prove his worth to his manager. For United's first goal, Mata's pressing forced Jussi Jaaskelainen into a mistake which allowed the forward to tee-up Keane for a simple finish, and he was at the heart of much of the visitors' attacking play for the rest of the half. His impresive outing was enough to receive kudos from his new Manager

                                                           Jose' Thumbs Up His Lads Jose Mourinho made a winning start as Manchester United manager as his side secured a deserved and comfortable 2-0 victory in their opening preseason match away at Wigan Athletic. Substitute Will Keane scored the first goal of the Mourinho era, tapping in after a blunder by 41-year-old goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen in the 49th minute. Andreas Pereira, another man who had come on for the second half, then rifled in another goal 10 minutes later. Two of United's summer signings  made their debuts -- attacking midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan and defender Eric Bailly -- while Ed Woodward looked on from the stands. Mkhitaryan was the stand-out player in the first half, despite missing one excellent chance, while Bailly grew in confidence as the game went on.
