Super Eagles striker, Emmanuel Emenike, has that retired form the national team after five years. He wrote on Instagram on Monday night, “No more Eagles career! After five great years, I am happy to announce that I have put full-stop to my national team career for the sake of national peace.” “It’s a pleasure for me to have played for this great country. Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo won Europe’s Golden Shoe yesterday, which recognizes the top scorer across the continent’s top five leagues. It’s the fourth time he’s won the award, and it comes after last season, when he scored 48 goals in 35 La Liga games. No one else in the history of the award has won it four times. Ronaldo said he wants to win it twice more. The Portuguese forward is 30, coming off his best domestic campaign ever, and is seemingly indestructible, and so there’s really no reason why he won’t.

Cooreman Proud Of Ikorodu Utd’s Promotion

Maurice Cooreman has expressed satisfaction with the promotion of Ikorodu United to the Glo Premier League. For the first time since his coaching career started in Nigeria’s top flight with Gabros International (now FC Ifeanyiubah) back in 2003, Cooreman stepped down to the lower division after accepting to coach the newly formed club. “I want to applaud my players and the sponsor for the promotion of Ikorodu United. We worked hard to achieve the feat as a team. My coaches as well, who adapted to my philosophy have proven to be quite supportive in our quest for promotion. “My target was to get Ikorodu United to the Premier League and I’m excited we achieved promotion,” he said to supersport.com. Cooreman boosted his squad with the trio of Cyril Olisemah, Lucky Edjebare and Shedrack Francis, who have top flight experience. Apart from Gabros, Cooreman has managed Lobi Stars, Bendel Insurance, defunct NPA, Ocean Boys, Enyimba, Kaduna United, Warri Wolves and Gombe United.
