Barcelona Has Been Sold To Qatar. Former Club President Joan Laporta Spits Fire

Joan Laporta has reiterated that he will not give up his bid to reclaim control of  Barcelona , stating that he cannot stand by and allow the club to be "sold to Qatar". The former Blaugrana president failed to usurp current incumbent Josep Maria Bartomeu in last month's elections but says that he remains determined to oust his fellow Catalan. Laporta explained that he has numerous issues with Laporta's administration, including the ongoing association with Qatar Sports Investments, as well as the fact that Barca have yet to launch an appeal against Uefa's decision to fine the club €30,000 for supporters being in possession of pro-Catalan independence flags at May's Champions League final. Jay-Jay Okocha Former Super Eagles Captain Makes Shock Return To Football?

Austin 'Jay Jay' Okocha  is said to be on the verge of making a shock return to active football. The former  Bolton Wanderers FC  midfielder last played for English club side  Hull City  in 2008 before hanging up his boot. Okocha who is currently the Chairman of the   Delta State Football Association  (DFA) last week played in a reserve game for English amateur side,  Wolverton Town  though it is not confirmed if he will be signing a contract with the Milton Keynes club. “ He did play 45 minutes last week for us but we can’t say either way whether he will sign yet ," Amanda Keech, the  chairperson of Wolverton Town, said. “ He is friends with somebody who coaches at the club and could be helping out with pre-season training with the players. We will be able to say more once he has decided .”

Snoop Dog Detained and Cash Seized At An Italian Airport

Rap star Snoop Dogg was detained by police in Italy after he was found to be carrying $422,000 (€384,000) in cash. Barely a week the music star was arrested in Sweden on suspicion of illegal drug usage, the 43-year-old rapper com singer was stopped at an airport in Calabria, southern Italy, following a recent concert. He is scheduled to perform on Sunday at the Kendal Calling Festival in England. Travelers passing through airports in the European Union must declare sums of cash that are over €10,000. Snoop Dogg was stopped as he prepared to board a private plane and Italian police seized his cash. According to his lawyer, Andrea Parisi, Snoop will have to pay a fine over the incident. “The money came from concerts he had performed around Europe. There was no crime, it was just an administrative procedure.  The rapper was said to have been given half of his money back while the rest was being held by Italian authorities until the amount of the fine was determined.
