Afro Basketball Championship: Promising News Coming In From The Camp Of D'Tigers
The Olumide Oyedeji led National Basketball Team of Nigeria D'tigers has been in blistering form at the on-going Africa Basketball Championship in Tunisia.
After recording great feats over Central Africa Republic and Uganda respectively, D'Tigers unbeating runs came to an end by the Tunisian National Team in the group stage. The Nigerian team found them selves under intense pressure while playing against the host team who enjoyed maximum home support.
The defense of D'Tiger was suspect as Sala Mejri star player of the Tunisian side took advantage of the lapses created to score 22 points and 7 rebounds.
D'Tiger in group A came out second place behind Tunisia rebouncing on Mozambique whom they defeated with a wooping 83-47 points to advance to the quater final stage.
However, Nigeria has been ceded against Gabon in the quater final stage of the tournament.

ended on Sunday as they were beaten 70-59 points by hosts, Tunisia.
The Tunisians boosted by the large presence of their home fans dominated D’Tigers in the first three quarters winning at 22-13, 17-17 and 20-12 points, while D’Tigers fought back in the fourth quarter wining it at 17-11 points but not easy to stop the Tunisians.
