Arsenal Appoints Germany World Cup Winner To join Their Backroom Staff
In demonstrating its willingness to contend for both domestic and European Titles in 2015-16 league season, Arsenal Football club of London has aquired the services of a Sports Performance expert.
Irishman Barry Solan spent 10 years working with Joachim Low's side and helped keep their stars in the best possible shape to win the World Cup in Brazil.
He's a coach specialising in sports performance and is currently working in Gaelic football.
But when the Gaelic football seasons finishes he will link up with Arsenal's current head of performance enhancement Shad Forsythe at the Emirates.
The two worked together at Exos, who describe themselves as a "global leader for integrated performance training, nutrition, and physical therapy".
Solan will be tasked with helping reduce the the number of injuries suffered by Gunners players.
The move to brings in Solan comes after Arsene Wenger appointed former Huddersfield physio James Haycock to replace Declan Lynch.
