David Oyeleye spoke about how Africans strugle with their identity. He recollect's "My Father has four tribal marks on his face and a tattoo written "Baale" on his stomach. On questioning his father, his father told him that the mark and tattoo was meant to identify his lineage and that is who we are"
His words actually express how Africans struggle with their Identity which shouldn't be because for once he remains the only person in his family lineage without such inscriptions on his body .
Back to the Movie itself. This movie is what we actually need to see at this point that Nigerians and Africans are groping in darkness. a time when people are trying to tell us how to live and which direction that we must take. We must remain firm withing the context of who we are in other to remain in peace. No one must move us towards their direction of interest and that is what this film teaches us. The African Americans struggled to retain their identity by refusing to be manipulated into abducting an alien mentality. They refused to be suppressed by the white supremacy.
