Rihanna, whose songs have always topped the charts globally, is feeling happy with the success of her newly unveiled acoustic song which she did with Beatles legend, Paul McCartney, and rapper, Kanye West.

The R&B pop diva, who turns 27 next month, unexpectedly released the new single, ‘FourFiveSeconds’, last Saturday.

The song features the Barbados-born singer’s signature robust voice, but has a minimal backdrop of McCartney’s guitar strumming without percussion or electronic elements. Some verses were also sung by West.

The track is the latest collaboration between West and McCartney, who unexpectedly released a song on New Year’s Day after the two stars met each other in Los Angeles.

Few days after the release of the song, she tweeted to her fans, “Thank you to everyone supporting my new album! I’m grateful! Glory be to the Almighty.”

Her tweet was re-tweeted by about 10,000 and Favorited about 17,000 times respectively.

‘FourFiveSeconds’ is a song about personal travails and confusion, with Rihanna singing, “We got three more days ‘til Friday / I’m just trying to make it back home by Monday morning.”

She has sold over 150 million records worldwide, making her one of the best-selling artistes of all time.

In 2012, Forbes ranked her the fourth most powerful celebrity of the year, with earnings of $53m (N10bn) between May 2011 and May 2012.
