Cheik Tiote Dies During Training Session With Beijin Enterprise FC
Cheik Tiote spent 7 years playing for New Castle United before Joining Beijin Enterprise FC of China.
Tiote slumped and died during training session with Beijin Enterprise FC of China today. The former Ivory Coast International Midfielder spent 7 years in Newcastle United FC before joining the Chinese League One side Beijin Enterprise in January 2017.
His former manager Raffa Benitez revealed he died of heart attack.
“It is with great sadness that I have this afternoon
learned of Cheick’s death. In all the time that I have known him he was a
true professional, dedicated above all, a great man. Our hearts go out to his family and friends at such a sad time.
Cheik played more than 50 times for his Country including the 2010 and 2014. He was part of the ivory Coast National team that won the African Cup of Nations. He is survived by a pregnant wife and to children. He was 30 years old.
