Messi Comes Out Of International Retirement And Scores A Winner For Argentine National Team

Lionel Messi marked his return from international retirement, with the winner as Argentina beat Uruguay 1-0 in a 2018 World Cup qualifier in Mendoza.

The Barcelona forward announced he was done with the national team in June, but has since reversed his decision.

Coach Edgardo Bauza was making his first appearance of the senior National team of Argentina with Messi hands on to ensure he had a good start scoring in the 56th minute.

Despite having Paulo Dybala sent off on the stroke of half-time, Argentina held on to win the match.

The victory moved Argentina to top the group of the qualifying standings ahead of Uruguay, Colombia and Ecuador
