A week after Bobby Kristina daughter of late singer  Whitney Houston  and Bobby Brown passed on. She was laid to rest Sarturday in Atlanta Georgia in the presence of family and friends. Not suprising that her boy friend Nick Gordon was notably absent at the funeral as he remains the prime suspect leading to her death. 22-year-old Bobbi died last Sunday at an area hospice, six months after suffering irreversible brain damage in a still unexplained incident at her Roswell, Georgia, home.  She was found face down and unresponsive in a bathtub by her partner and a friend in January in an eerie echo of the Beverly Hills hotel bathtub drowning of her famous mother in 2012. An initial autopsy this week found no obvious underlying cause for her death but the investigation is ongoing. Joan Laporta has reiterated that he will not give up his bid to reclaim control of  Barcelona , stating that he cannot stand by and allow the club to be "sold to Qatar". The former Blaugrana president failed to usurp current incumbent Josep Maria Bartomeu in last month's elections but says that he remains determined to oust his fellow Catalan. Laporta explained that he has numerous issues with Laporta's administration, including the ongoing association with Qatar Sports Investments, as well as the fact that Barca have yet to launch an appeal against Uefa's decision to fine the club €30,000 for supporters being in possession of pro-Catalan independence flags at May's Champions League final. Austin 'Jay Jay' Okocha  is said to be on the verge of making a shock return to active football. The former  Bolton Wanderers FC  midfielder last played for English club side  Hull City  in 2008 before hanging up his boot. Okocha who is currently the Chairman of the   Delta State Football Association  (DFA) last week played in a reserve game for English amateur side,  Wolverton Town  though it is not confirmed if he will be signing a contract with the Milton Keynes club. “ He did play 45 minutes last week for us but we can’t say either way whether he will sign yet ," Amanda Keech, the  chairperson of Wolverton Town, said. “ He is friends with somebody who coaches at the club and could be helping out with pre-season training with the players. Snoop Dog Detained and Cash Seized At An Italian Airport

Rap star Snoop Dogg was detained by police in Italy after he was found to be carrying $422,000 (€384,000) in cash. Barely a week the music star was arrested in Sweden on suspicion of illegal drug usage, the 43-year-old rapper com singer was stopped at an airport in Calabria, southern Italy, following a recent concert. He is scheduled to perform on Sunday at the Kendal Calling Festival in England. Travelers passing through airports in the European Union must declare sums of cash that are over €10,000. Snoop Dogg was stopped as he prepared to board a private plane and Italian police seized his cash. According to his lawyer, Andrea Parisi, Snoop will have to pay a fine over the incident. “The money came from concerts he had performed around Europe.                Several hundred people have attended a Mass at a  US  Catholic church to protest against an eight and a half-foot (2.6-metre)-tall bronze statue of  Satan  that hundreds of people also lined up to see. The Satanic Temple had said it would unveil the statue on Saturday at a Detroit location that only people with tickets would know about. Hundreds lined up on Saturday evening to get the tickets as Christian protesters rallied nearby. The bronze Baphomet statue, featuring a human body, goat’s head and wings, was unveiled just before midnight to cheers of "Hail Satan". Statues of a boy and a girl in poses of adoration stand on either side.Earlier on Saturday, The Detroit News said 200-250 people attended Mass at St. Joseph Church in a protest against the Satanic event. Former Chelsea Striker Didier Drogba has signed for Major League Soccer side Montreal Impact. The 37-year-old left Stamford Bridge this summer after playing 381 games and winning four Premier League titles across two spells with the London club. Drogba is the Ivory Coast's all-time top scorer, with 65 goals in 105 international appearances. Montreal president Joey Saputo said the signing made it "one of the biggest days in club history". He added: "It's an honour to welcome Didier Drogba to the Impact. "From the first conversation I had with him, I felt that he really wanted to play in Montreal. "His arrival will be beneficial in every aspect." Drogba will be a designated player at the Canadian side, which means his wages will not be restricted by the MLS salary cap.
